What medium are your original paintings?

I work mainly in water based mediums; acrylic paint, oil pastels/sticks and pencils. I also use collage which is usually paper. Further details will usually be listed alongside each piece.

What finishing do you use on the surface of the painting?

Each painting is finished with a sealing coat of clear acrylic. Then it is given two coats of UVLS varnish.

Are your paintings framed?

It varies. All work is unframed unless specified. I do most of my large work on stretched canvas and sell them unframed. Unstretched is a much more cost effective method when shipping internationally. They are supplied in a tube. You can get it stretched and choose your own frame if you want one. Some people prefer the modern look of large paintings unframed. If you want a frame, you can choose when you have the painting with you. I also do smaller paper work.

Some of my paper paintings are framed and can be shipped with their frame. However, it is just as easy to remove the frame and save money on shipping. The cost of the frame would be removed from the final price.

Where frame is mentioned in the product it is the box that the canvas is stapled to. Please get in touch for any framing requirements.

Will my painting be ready to hang?

If the painting is stretched, or is a cradled wood panel or a framed paper piece it will come ready to hang.

My favourite painting has sold – how can I be sure to know about new work?

Some pieces sell very quickly. Make sure you join my mailing list to find out about new work before it is added to the Shop. But, as I try not to bombard you with emails, you can also follow studio progress on Instagram or Facebook to see work coming up.

How will my painting be wrapped?

Unstretched canvas paintings will be rolled  and sent in a wide heavy duty tube with end caps. Paintings on canvas will be carefully packed, bubble wrap and cardboard. Because of size etc. each painting is unique so I take care that it’s well protected to arrive in perfect condition. For further details about delivery please see the Shipping details.

Do you do commissions?

I can do commissions at an increased rate of 20% and require a 50% deposit.
